Montys Backkkk..

I was really astonished by what ive heard and seen of the of the much talked about Karzzz ( Mind you the one with a triple 'Z'). what i fail to understand is that if people think that Mr Red cap oops.. the hair transplant guy , the nasal singing "SENSATION", 'Himesh' ( pronounced : him-may-s) is just a nobody, then why so much of hype for the movie he stars or why to bother as to how it fares. isnt it kinda wierd or just so so stupid.
What made me think on this topic was the kind of radio war that i felt was on between Radio city and Big ( for the unknowing dudes and dudettes its 91.1 FM v/s 92.7 FM ) with the former trying to make a mockery of the movie and the latter willingly and madly trying to promote it.
nopes people.. Big FM has not gone insane..those guys (BIG entertainment) are the distributors of the movie.. got the point..... so coming back on the isue, does it really matter whether the movie runs or not.... whether Urmila gets into the league of the Aishwaryas and the Priyankas or whether the newbie in the movie wishes that she could have Jr Rishi kapoor as her co-star (Man...she needs to stop day dreaming...). you see amidst all the chaos and the insults thrown, Himesh is rising and guess what he has some more movies in his kittie.. so its completely useless to malign or insult him.... like he cares or even gives a shit... or else would he still be torturing us with his Nasal tracks... people and the media surely need to get a life....
what they fail to see is that one must commend the efforts of this Gujju guy..whose become somebody from a nobody.... you can call him words but you would still be the ones to watch his movies and listen to his songs.... stupid, illogical but true.... you can hate him and never wanna discuss about him but in the end you would continously be talking about this guy....
so guess let everybody have a live and let live attitude.... he is here to stay.. trust me.. or else where would the papers find their masala if he isnt there...... :-)
any publicity is great publicity..dont remember who said that.. but hey thats like absolutely true....
Himesh is here to stay..... hope you got the pronounciation right....hahahaha...

Its not who you you want to be, that matters,
But its what you would do to get there and stay there, that really counts....

What Goes Around …… Comes Around

The first thing that hits my head when I read the topic is the song by Justin Timberlake with the same title. To tell you the truth at that point of time, I saw the video just for Scarlett Johansson. :-) :-) The topic still remains the same as what Justin pointed out in his Lyrics with the difference that it covers a broader perspective. All you need to do is to think carefully and you will know.

I see people crying and complaining about how their life has shaped up or as to how they feel they’ve landed in an uncompromising situation and to tell you the truth, recently, even I felt the same for reasons better known to this “confused” mind of mine…..

All I can think of at these low points of my life are these mind rattling words.. “What Goes Around ..Comes Around”. Maybe as they say it’s your Karma. There’s nothing like an After-Life, what you sow (your deeds) is what you get. If you’re hurt or troubled by some situation, some answers that you aren’t able to figure out, look back at your life and maybe sometime, someday you did something that hurt someone the same way. Let me be clear out here, I’m not pointing at situations pertaining to financial instabilities, job dissatisfaction but other relevant ones, particularly, personal traumas (you can club a lot of issues under this).

I am not here to make you feel guilty or weak but just to let you know that when you fall in such a situation when the best thing that hits your head is “to cry”,
just sit back, retrospect, inhale the pain and exhale the guilt. Maybe its God’s way of keeping us in line and letting us know that he is watching.
Gosh!!!!!!! I surely hope I aint sounding spiritual or to say the least like those “preaching” people on the idiot box.

Maybe I am wrong, it was just a sheer coincidence but maybe, maybe I’m right. All I can ask of you then is to “think”, just “think about it”.

Of Work- Just Another Day at ‘IT’..

Hello people… yes, its been a long time since I posted something, Courtesy the topic for this post, another classic case of ‘Hep-At-IT’s’ ... (figure out the classification yourself…)…..

Work at IT.. a place where you get paid peanuts so that your company can make millions…(that’s the best guess I have :-))

Work in ‘IT’ , which, as all of you know, is essentially outsourced work, so basically with a ‘No Offense’ tag I would like to say, that we all are employed for the basic fact that all we provide is an Excellent talent pool as compared to any country in the world and worst of all, this talent and intelligence comes at a very low price…. (re-check your salary slips if you want a confirmation ).

What hits me after writing this, is that age old NIRMA’s Advertisement,

With a little modification, I Quote,

“Jab wohi code, wahi efficiency , humme kum daamon mein mile, toh koi inhe kyun hire karen, Indians ko na le”

The Response for it is absolute and the Rest is history……..

Another golden rule when at work is that the basic rule to climb the ladder (Vertically, horizontally or whatever.. we just need a hike) is to keep your mouth shut, speak just only when required or should I replace “speak” with “question” , guess that would be more apt…

Like Mr Crazy Scientist and my favourite , Albert Einstein , had once said,

If A equals success, then the formula is A equals X plus Y
and Z, with X being work, Y play, and Z keeping your mouth shut….

How true isn’t it….

So apart from the whining and complaining, one may ask, is there anything that is great about being in ‘IT’?

The answer to this puzzle is simple. Obviously there is. I work in an ‘IT’ firm. One of the biggest advantages is that, hey, we have a job. For all those who have misinterpreted this as ‘Job Security’ please read the above line again.. and apart from the job thing, we work in a global industry, which means you get to hear to loads of Firangs and loads of us(The IT professionals) simply trying to ape the former.. (In terms of accent I mean)..!!!!!!!!

Another advantage is that, you learn something called an E-mail courtesy, god I have completely forgotten the normal way of writing an email. You see none of your emails would be without a “please”, a “could you” instead of “do this today” and worse, “please do revert back in case of any Queries”, even when you don’t have the slightest idea of what on earth is written by you in that mail. How many times have you guys wrote such things in your mail, look at us, it’s a routine for us in ‘IT’. The worse thing about emails in ‘IT’ is that you just can’t use your normal slang language (I hope you understand what I am trying to mean when I say Slang), as you will have your Admin folks who will “Quarantine” all such mails. How sad is that guys….oops I forgot.. I was supposed to write the positive things about the industry.

Now getting back to the “Praise phase”, another great thing about this industry is the mails you receive, the amount of classic forwards that you receive or send. I know this guy from my batch, god only knows from where he gets all his mails, but this guy is simply unmatched, he sends like 15-20 mails a day, all forwards, some so foolish and irritating that you would want to bang your head on the PC. And if at all you face such situations, guys and gals, you learn how to “create a rule” on Outlook to put all those mails in Spam… that’s one great relief, one must say. Another positive point, see.

The above paragraph was a praise right? Yup obviously, mails are such a essential part of your day, otherwise, what are you going to do when you don’t have any work, your Project-Less or in ‘IT’ terms, your Benched…..

Would have loved to ponder more on this extravagant subject, but my boss just called, I am told to investigate on a new bug that’s come up, and wow, aren’t I happy about it.

Meet you people soon.

P.S:- if you haven’t noticed, I haven’t used any kind of short forms while writing this post and most of the words used have the starting letter in CAPS. One more advantage of being in the Industry..lolzzzz

“All Play and No Work makes you a Very Happy ‘IT’ Professional”.

P.P.S:- The above writer is a hard-working and happy ‘IT’ professional. The work must be regarded as a pure work of FICTION. :-)
